Kayak fishingNew Jersey small lakes and ponds.
It's my passion for fishing that drives me to search and find new locations to go kayak fishing.
I started the Pond Hopper guide service to teach and instruct others about the sport of finesse fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass out of a kayak.
To also gain a true appreciation of New Jersey outdoors. I offer Kayak Fishing Instructions, and Kayak Fishing Trips. While out with The Pond Hopper you will be paddling in some of NJ's most picturesque lakes and ponds, using some of the best fishing kayaks available.
Bass Fishing, Canoeing, and Kayaking are great ways to spend quality time on the water while enjoying the beautiful scenery of many of New Jersey's small lakes and ponds.
New Jersey offers many exciting paddling and fishing destinations, from the numerous trout stock streams to the many small lakes, there is something for everyone. Fishing Kayaks make these locations easily accessible. If you want to catch more fish and get away from the heavily pressured lakes try a fishing kayak.
Let's face it, anyone can place you in a kayak, take you to the water, and place a fishing rod in your hand, but not everyone can teach you the HOW TO!!. That's where I come in. A guided kayak fishing trip with The Pond Hopper will cut your learning curve in half.!! and teach you new techniques to become a better angler.
The Pond Hopper offers kayak fishing trips in northern and central New Jersey small lakes as well as Delaware River float trips. I use a variety of top quality sit on top fishing kayaks from different manufacturers. My fleet consist of over 12 different boats, so by the end of the day you will have a good feeling of how a fishing kayak should perform.
I advocate (CPR) catch photo and release so you and others can come back for another enjoyable day of fishing.
I target mostly Largemouth and Smallmouth bass. However, Pickerel, Crappies, and Bluegills are also in the mix, since in most waters these fish seek similar types of bait and structure as Bass.
Light spinning tackle is used, generally 8 lb. test line.
You do not need any kayaking experience, just the willingness to learn.

I have a great passion for this sport and always love talking with people and answering any questions regarding selections of Kayak Paddles, Kayak Accessories, Kayaks, Canoes, or just about anything on Fishing kayaks.
Do you have a specific question on selecting Fishing rods, and Reels for freshwater fishing?
